Devin Graduated Yea!!!!!!!!

We drove down for Devin’s graduation last weekend. He graduated on December 16th Just happened to be on Dustin’s birthday. We drove to Coeur d’ Alene Idaho and stayed over night at Doug’s brothers house and visited with Dustin and Melissa and Ella. We celebrated Dustins birthday and Christmas by watching him open his gifts from us. Jeff and Julie made a awesome dinner for us and we had a great time visiting with them. Denise Doug's sister and Hanna came over for a while and we were able to visit with them also and have yummy dessert's.

The next morning we got up early and drove to Rexburg Idaho to see Devin graduate. I was so glad we were able to make the trip down to watch him graduate it was a cool experience to watch your son graduate and think about all the hard work and trials that he went through to make it to this point. I am so happy and proud of him. Great Job Devin. Becca also graduated last April. So now they are both working  and living there life not to far from us.

Becca’s extended family live near Rexburg and were there to support Devin and Becca. They threw Devin a nice graduation party after the graduation. So nice of them and such a fun and friendly family.

last post of Washington D.C.

We went to Fords Theater where Lincoln was shot. I have always heard about this place in history as I grew up but it just seams all the more real when you visit a place like this.

If we had more time we would have gone to see the Christmas Carol that was playing here. There were some cool pictures of Lincoln hanging in the hall way.

there was a door just behind were Lincoln sat. The next picture is just across the street from Fords Theater where Lincoln was taken just after he was shot. This was the home of the theater owner.

I took this picture of Fords theater on the stairs of the picture above. This was a small street between the two buildings.

I photoshoped 2 pictures together to get the feel of the next room. The rooms were really small compared the the rooms we are used too.

Julia Childs Kitchen. I probably wouldn’t have been that impressed except that I saw the movie Julia and Julia and they mentioned at the end of the movie that her kitchen was in the Smithsonian so it was cool to see because I remember thinking when I saw that movie that I would never get to go to the Smithsonian and that would be cool if I did and there I was standing in front of Julia Childs Kitchen with all her pots and pans.
