Christmas 2009

Merry Christmas everyone. The tradition in our house is that you have to come up the stairs before you can go in the family room to open presents. When the boys were little we were the ones who looked like this. Tired and wanting just a little more sleep. But now we are the ones up and ready to go and trying to wake up the boys. Sleepy boys. Devin and Becca spent the night at Becca's families house and woke up to Christmas morning with Emma who still likes Santa. Which is a lot more fun. We had a very relaxing Christmas and just took it easy. It was very nice. Devin and Becca came over later and opened presents with us. I am glad Devin and Becca were able to come up and spend Christmas with us.It was nice spending time with family. It was just a great day. We miss all our family that live away from us. Love you all. Even the cats had a nice Christmas. Plenty of boxes to play with.

We have another family tradition and that is to pull out all the old Nerf guns and have a Nerf war.
So they get played with at least once a year. We also got a family Wii game. It has darts and shuffle board, basketball etc. We had fun playing that.

Then it was time to go to Doug's moms house for dinner. We took family pictures in front of her house before we went in. It gets dark around 4:00 so we had to hurry.

I didn't get very many pictures, But we had a very nice dinner and visited with the family and watched Sartrek that Aaron sent us.

I didn't get any Christmas eve pictures but we usually read the Christmas story out of the Bible while we sit around the Christmas tree with the fire going in the fire place and Christmas music playing in the background. We use to open up one gift on Christmas eve and that was usually pajamas but this year no pajamas and that was OK. It was nice spending time together.
